| CASA contributes to the Himachal Pradesh Dist.Disaster Management Plan, Kullu |
We are pleased to inform you that CASA has substantially contributed to the recently published District Disaster Management plan jointly prepared by Kullu District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Himachal Pradesh . In the document you can see the contribution of our apex PAT unit CSK (Chetna Samiti Kullu) in Kullu, local CASA unit and Mountain Forum Himalayas (an effort of CASA in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand) in preparing this district disaster management plan and a separate chapter dedicated to CASA’s PROPOSAL OF DISASTER YOUTH VOLUNTEER on page 197. You can also see Chapter – 6.3, Resource plan, Page – 40-42, where special emphasis has been given in emergency situations, to adhere to the principles of “DO NO HARM’, which is a key approach of CASA’s Local Capacities for Peace (LCP).

| Baptist Church of Mizoram (BCM) joins CASA as the 25th Member Church |

ANNOUNCEMENT It is with great delight I wish to inform you that the National Board of CASA has accepted the Baptist Church of Mizoram (BCM) as one of the member Churches of CASA w.e.f. 26th November 2011. The BCM would be the 25th Church to become a member of CASA. I take this opportunity to extend a very warm welcome to the Baptist Church of Mizoram to the CASA family and look forward to having a very meaningful relationship in future. I would like to inform you that the BCM is the 3rd member Church of CASA from the North East India region. It is worth mentioning here that CASA is the official social action arm of these 25 Protestant and Orthodox Churches in India.
