| CASA contributes to the Himachal Pradesh Dist.Disaster Management Plan, Kullu |
We are pleased to inform you that CASA has substantially contributed to the recently published District Disaster Management plan jointly prepared by Kullu District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Himachal Pradesh . In the document you can see the contribution of our apex PAT unit CSK (Chetna Samiti Kullu) in Kullu, local CASA unit and Mountain Forum Himalayas (an effort of CASA in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand) in preparing this district disaster management plan and a separate chapter dedicated to CASA’s PROPOSAL OF DISASTER YOUTH VOLUNTEER on page 197. You can also see Chapter – 6.3, Resource plan, Page – 40-42, where special emphasis has been given in emergency situations, to adhere to the principles of “DO NO HARM’, which is a key approach of CASA’s Local Capacities for Peace (LCP).

We would like to alert all our friends and supporters that a group of persons are posing to be relatives of the CASA Director and are extorting money from some parties promising project support from CASA. We have come to know the names of some of these persons, which may or may not be their real names. They are Prashant Nag, Pramod Pandya and one Mr. Kapoor. Please note that we do not know any of these persons. They are certainly not related to the Director of CASA, nor are they employees of this organization. Persons engaging with them on any matter purportedly related to CASA will be doing so at their own risk. Please do not be duped by such unscrupulous persons. Anyone having any knowledge or connection with any of the above-named person is requested to kindly provide the details to CASA. We will appreciate your help and support.
