CASA had been using food as a tool for development almost since the time of its inception.  Our learning from the experiences gained over this long span of time has helped us continually evolve and innovate to maintain the relevance of these FCCD programme to current context. We have just concluded a three-year (2005-2008) Food for Community Development (FFCD) project covering 186 villages of 44 blocks of 26 districts in 11 states in India which was supported by MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) and CFGB (Canadian Food Grains Bank). As agreed upon between CASA, MCC & CFGB, an evaluation was conducted on the completed FFCD project over the period 4th to 17th April, 2009 to assess the performance and impact of the FFCD programmes implemented by CASA and its partner organisations.
