CASA NATIONAL BOARD APPEALS TO THE ORISSA GOVERNMENT TO STOP ATROCITIES AGAINST CHRISTIANS BY EXTREMISTS

The CASA National Board, comprising of the Protestant and Orthodox Churches in India, which met for its annual session on 28 November 2008 in New Delhi, expresses its deepest concern at the continuing atrocities on the Christian minorities in Orissa and appeals to the Government of the State for measures to restore peace and confidence in Kandhamal district. It is the State’s responsibility to protect the lives of its people. It is unfortunate that these atrocities are continuing and the perpetrators are going scot-free.

WCC GENERAL SECRETARY VISITS CASA HEADQUARTERS IN NEW DELHI PDF Print E-mail

16th October 2008 was a historic moment for the CASA family, as Rev. Dr. Samuel Kobia, General Secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC) visited CASA Headquarters in New Delhi.   Dr. Kobia, who was on a visit to India, met Dr. Sushant Agrawal, Director, CASA and Moderator of ACT (Action by Churches Together) International at the CASA head office, along with his colleague Dr. Matthews Chunakara, Asia Secretary, WCC.  Dr. Kobia after spending some time with the Director, CASA in his chamber, was welcomed by the CASA family at the Conference hall.
